This photo of Peter and Mary with Freebo on bass was taken in May, 1980, at the tail end of "the hiatus", not long before the trio would reunite.

This photos was used as PP&M's "admat" photo, appearing in PP&M's concert advertisements in many thousands of newspapers over many years.
This photo was probably the first major use of a live concert photograph as a "promo" photo to advertise a live concert, replacing the tradition of using posed studio shots, though that seems unthinkable today.
