Gibson ES-150 / L48

Body stamped L48, which is typically a quite different looking guitar.  The body of this guitar is the shape of a prewar ES-150, while the back is arched.  The "i" in "Gibson" on the headstock shows this to be the first version logo used after the war, and the neck feels post-war.

The pickup is the earliest version Christian pickup, single bound  Brazilian rosewood will look nice when refinished.  .  All fittings, including the end pin jack, are typical of ES-150 guitars with "Christian" pickups.

Since Gibson ceased production of "Charlie Christian" guitars during the war, I'm wondering if this guitar was put together by the factory as the war came to an end with whatever parts were available.

Very fine condition.  Tuning buttons appear to be newer.
